Why Securd?

Most crypto holders don’t put their assets at work because they lack a simple and safe solution such as a decentralized Savings Account. Securd has been built to provide passive income to crypto holders while protecting their capital with stable collateral. For Liquidity Providers, Securd allows to maximize capital efficiency by using borrowed funds to leverage their position and multiply their APY.

How does Securd generate interest?

Securd uses deposits to grant collateralized loans to liquidity providers who pay interest in return. 90% of collected interest is paid to you and represents your Savings APY.

How is my Savings APY calculated?

The Savings APY is calculated for each token based on the percentage of deposits that is borrowed, called the Utilization Rate. As Utilization will move up or down, your Savings APY will vary and reflect the balance between Supply & Demand for your tokens.

How does Securd protect my deposit?

For each loan, Secur•d holds borrower's collateral and makes sure the value of this collateral surpasses the loan value by a certain buffer. If this buffer becomes insufficient, Secur•d automatically sells the collateral to repay the loan and protect Depositors funds.

What is Leverage ?

Leverage consists in using borrowed funds in order to increase an existing position. As long as the position return is higher than the borrow rate, leverage is profitable.

What does Collateral Factor mean?

The Collateral Factor, or CF, is the ratio between the collateral value and the loan value and represents your level of repayment guarantee.

What is Liquidation Risk?

If your Collateral Factor falls below a certain value, called Liquidation Threshold or LT, your collateral will be partially liquidated, ie sold at a discounted price to cover for loan repayment.

How can I avoid Liquidation?

At any moment, you have the ability to raise your Collateral Factor by posting additional collateral or reducing your loans. By doing so, you can maintain your Collateral Factor above the Liquidation Threshold and avoid undesired liquidation.
